The Free Loaders

We dont just have useful animals here at Bramble Valley we also have pets. Although these are very entitled pets that really have no purpose but to be cute companion animals. These happen to be our cats. We have 6 cats altogether. They range in age but most are older and we have had for quite sometime.

The old wise one Danny. She is a domestic short hair with some crazy markings that just keep changing. She has both siamese and dilute calico markings depending on time of year. Danny is 24 years old and still very healthy and active. She has gorgeous blue eyes and is one of the most cuddliest sweetest cats I know of.

Then there is biscuit. The resident basket case. He is my crazy orange domestic medium hair. He was a rescue when he was 6 months old when I worked at a vet clinic where he was doomed to be euthanized. He is now about 9 years old fat and happy. He has OCD and weird little biscuit things. He doesnt jump well from living in a carrier prior to rescue so he pulls himself up.

Gir is a cat like no other. No quite cat, not quite dog, pretty certain he is an alien. This is how he got his name. He seems so inteligent and will look at you and meow as if he is trying to have a conversation. He is loud and loves when visitors come over. He is a true social cat. He is about 9-10 years old not certain.

Oddest of them all is Loki. He is a large exotic spotted and striped cat. Gorgeous gray color and large eyes. He has a very primative look to him but has just a baby meow. He is goofy and grumpy and only loves one human, my husband. He is about 7-8 years old and was an owner surrender at a clinic I worked at.

Zipper is a sassy torti. We got her when she was kitten who had fallen out of a wheel well after going fo a ride. She had burns and a broken tail but mended great. She is very petite in build but very dense. She likes to be loved and baby talks. She never lost her kitten look or kitten cuddles. She is about 5 years old.

Our big fatty Maine Coon is named squirt. He is a big fluffy white and orange cat or shall I say kitten. He is frisky and playful and quite the pest. Always into something or stirring up trouble. He is only about 1-2 years old but just huge in stature.

Well those are our free loaders. When we had a mouse in our house they never even caught it. The little sucker was in our house for more then 6 months before my husband was able to trap and release it. The eat sleep and play that is about it. Such a tough life. We love them though and they wont be going anywhere.
